As a Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the conception, design, and development of mechanical components and machines. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will utilize your technical expertise to create innovative solutions that meet project requirements and exceed expectations. Your responsibilities will encompass various stages of the design process, from initial concept generation to final product realization.
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptualization and Design: Generate creative concepts and translate them into detailed mechanical designs. Utilize CAD software primarily AutoCAD to develop design and generate 3D models using SolidWorks (whenever required), assemblies, and detailed drawings.
Design Documentation: Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including technical specifications, bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and engineering reports. Ensure all documentation adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other engineering disciplines (such as electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers) to integrate mechanical designs into complex systems. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and solicit feedback throughout the design process.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in mechanical design. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of design standards and guidelines.
Project Management: Manage assigned projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting, to ensure timely completion within scope and budget constraints. Track project milestones and proactively address any issues or risks that may arise.
