AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Supply Chain Management

• Receive project requirements and BoM/BoQ for each project. Plan for procurement based on the timelines (overseas and local purchases) allotted for each project.
• Review purchase orders based on BoM regarding quantity, value, vendor details, tax structure, and specification codes.
• Track equipment/ material movement project wise and ensure that appropriate inventory levels are maintained. 
• Plan the next level of procurement based on project status and ensure that materials are available at site on time.
• Plan and procure capital expenditure materials and maintain capital expenses within control.
• Engage with C&F agents for moving imported materials from customs to stores.

International Sourcing

• Responsible for managing strategic international technical partners to procure high purity components on time at competitive price.
• Interact with the international suppliers periodically and appraise them about their services on quality and delivery of materials.
• Identify new international sources for difficult and new components/ materials
• Lead time for purchase, procurement and transportation- Std vs. Actual
• Cost saving (both purchase & logistics)

Vendor Management & Development

• Perform market survey / desk research and track market trends of key raw materials and components.
• Identify and negotiate with vendors to offer quality products and services on time at competitive price.
• Interact with key suppliers periodically and appraise them about their services on quality and delivery of materials.
• Receive inputs from quality assurance in-charge/ execution team on supplier performance and offer feedback to the suppliers.
• Work with the suppliers to improve quality and delivery performance.
• Identify new sources for difficult and new equipments and consumables. Develop alternate vendor sources and meet the standards pertaining to quality, cost, delivery and safety of materials.

Logistics Management

• Oversee stores (including clean room storage), inventory control, material handling, transportation and plan for the same.
• Maintain approved logistics agents list. Identify and develop new agents who offer quality service at a competitive price.
• Negotiate with the agents (Freight and Forwarders) and arrange for transportation within the budget
• Track status and ensure the resources reach the site on time

Cost Control

• Optimize lead time. Ensure needs are met in a timely, satisfactory and cost-effective manner.
• Continually monitor purchase expenses and take action to keep the budget under control.
• Do Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and ensure regular maintenance checks on equipments to reduce/ eliminate quality costs.
