Responsibilities for structural design engineer

Working with CAD Technicians to produce relevant structural information of the highest quality design engineers
Build client relationships and help identify business opportunities
Be a technical champion within the team
Deliver multiple projects or parts of larger projects to completion and within budget and to programme
Assist in managing the broader team through mentoring and training
Work closely with systems engineering, R&D engineers, and electrical engineers to design an optical payload to meet customer mission needs
Be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with little to no requirements levied by customers
Be able to take a ground up top down approach to design an optical payload
Validation of wind turbine blade structures through full scale and substructure test
Definition of specifications regarding production and quality
